Daniel, a photographer and visual artist born in Venezuela, currently leads a life as a digital nomad. He breathes life into a dreamlike world through images created by combining different photographs. His recurring motif is self-portraiture, making himself the protagonist of his own stories inspired by nature, fears, and the apparent contrasts perceived as light and darkness.
His childhood and adolescence unfolded in Venezuela. Later, he moved to Asunción, Paraguay, to study Marketing Engineering, where he discovered his passion for art and photography. After an unsuccessful night attempting to express his emotions through a drawing, he took his camera and, through digital manipulation on his computer, created what became his first surreal image. The result made him realize that artistic expression would become a necessary habit.
Through his work, Daniel invites the observer to delve into the deepest corners of the unconscious, where fears and automatic ways of perceiving reality reside. His greatest desire is to reveal to others a hidden part of themselves, seeking connection and community.
Despite his focus on post-production by combining various photographs to construct scenes, Daniel values a high level of realism. This often involves capturing elements in real locations, which may include building props, traveling to remote places, and employing a great deal of creativity to improvise and achieve each shot.
Daniel’s work has been exhibited in various international locations (Miami, Milan, New York, Paris) and he has collaborated with renowned brands such as Adobe, MSI, Shutterstock, Skillshare, Photoshop, and Holmen Group (Sweden), among others.
